Originally commissioned by Point Park University, this original poster illustration/painting by Internationally renowned illustrator Sterling Hundley presents a modern perspective on the classic painting "The Death of Marat" by Jacques-Louis David. Employing materials as varied as Oils, Acrylics, watercolor, collage and tar, Hundley's unorthodox composition and approach communicate the tone and volatility of this play within a play.
"Marat/Sade" has appeared in the Society of Illustrators New York annual competition, as well as the Eisner Museum, and multiple campus museums including Ringling College of Art, Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Arts.
